David Schabort Krige

David graduated from the University of Stellenbosch firstly with his B Eng (Mechanical) and thereafter with his MSc Mechanical cum laude in 2011. After completing an Africa Tour of 35,000km with a mission, he and a colleague founded a new firm called Cape Aerospace Technologies in Cape Town.

CAT provides the micro- and small gas turbine industries with various propulsion system solutions. CAT designs, manufactures and tests high performance turbo-jets for use in model aircraft, high speed target drones, UAV’s, experimental aircraft and full size gliders.

Droom groot en leef jou passie, al beteken dit ‘n beperkte inkomste om uit die blokke te kom. Leer, hou aan leer, daar is altyd iemand wat meer as jy weet. Vra vrae en moenie bang wees om foute te maak nie. Daar is altyd iets om uit ‘n fout te leer!

David stam uit die Bottelary Tak.

Hy is in 1987 in Bloemfontein gebore, is leerling op Grey College en skryf dan in as student aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch. Hy is getroud met Adina Cornelia Bosch en hulle het een seun, David Hugo Krige.
